Testimonials

  • I have purchased Mary Blum's wonderful jewelry for my wife several times in the past, and I just ordered a pair of ruby earrings from her Compass Rose collection.  Thanks again for your wonderful work.  It is always well-received and jewelry from Mary are the pieces my wife wears most often.

  • I will never forget you or cease to be grateful to you for creating my favorite necklace.  I told you about an idea that I had for a statement piece of multicolored tourmalines on 18k gold, and you created it!  I wear it only for special occasions but it looks great with whatever I choose to wear.

  • Wearing Mary's jewelry somehow makes me feel simultaneously connected to my powerful Anglo-Saxon ancestry and beautifully feminine.  Her craftsmanship is elegant, creative and sophisticated while meaningful and steeped in a thorough understanding of history.

  • Mary is an extraordinary artist. Each piece of her jewelry she crafts reflects her inspired creativity and her tremendous skill at turning her designs into beautiful and unique pieces of the highest quality jewelry. I cherish each of Mary's designs that I have accumulated over the years, many of them items she made but once, and I have gifted many as well - all received with great enthusiasm!

  • Mary’s creations are my favorite jewelry. She uses the best materials and designs delicate, feminine, unique pieces that I wear every day. I give her jewelry as gifts often and everyone loves the works as much as I do.

  • I bought my first pair of diamond earrings from Mary Blum Jewels, and they won't be the last. The craftsmanship is exquisite and flawless. It is clear that each piece is hand crafted with precision and passion. My earrings are eye catching, just like her whole collection. I get so many complements each time I wear them. I can't wait to buy my next piece of jewelry from Mary Blum Jewels.

  • The first time I met Mary was many years ago at her home in San Francisco. She met my sister through art shows and they became friends. I received the most creative and beautiful pieces of jewelry from my sister through some years, then finally I got to meet her, the artist, Mary. I vacationed in SF, and Mary kindly invited us to her home to “shop”. I was able to see all her works, including some “on the bench” in her workshop. It’s amazing how much beauty can come out of a little shop. Over the years I have accumulated 20 some pieces of hers. I wear each one knowing the craftsmanship and quality that went into it.  I have also given many jewelry items as gifts to my family and friends.  The artistic eye and talent that goes into each piece is incredible. Mary is an amazing artisan, and she’s always willing to customize her designs!  I love you, Mary!!!! You’re truly are the best!!!

  • The jewelry I wear has to feel personal and natural yet elegant, and it’s very hard to find that combination. Mary’s light touch and deeply centered sense of time and place somehow forge the perfect balance.  Her pieces make me feel and look special when I wear them.  Light and presence are the main qualities I love about her pieces. Mary has a gift of tapping into ancient mystery without cliche and this makes her pieces fun, timeless and interesting.

  • I met Mary Blum at a Greek festival in San Mateo many years ago. She was very kind and unassuming, and she explained all about her pearls and her jewelry. I fell in love with her personality and eventually I visited her home studio. What an amazing woman! She showed me almost everything she had made and made me feel so very comfortable in looking and not necessarily buying. Of course, I had to buy several items because I was in love with them and her. I have introduced many of my friends to her work and they all feel the same way! Over the years, she has become more and more creative, and we have become better and better friends. I have so very many pieces of hers and will never stop buying her jewelry! In fact, I have a special 18k ring on order right now! And of course I can't wait to get it!

  • I wear her pieces constantly, work days, play days, casual days, dressy days. You can't go wrong with Mary Blum's amazing designs and attention to detail in her jewelry.

  • After my father died, I reached out to Mary to handcraft two distinct remembrance pieces. She created two outstanding bracelets using my father's garnet birthstone and another one using heliodore stones to highlight his signature favorite color, yellow. I wear these on his special days to celebrate his life.

  • I have purchased Mary Blum's high-quality jewelry for myself, family and friends. I love the stones, gold and processes she selects. I am especially fond of her delicate Natura collection.

Jewelry simply does not make the list of life necessities, such as food, clean water, warm clothing and a safe place to sleep.  That said, jewelry does add vibrance to life, and when that vibrance carries an emotional hue, in some way it does become, if not necessary, at least important.  Jewelry can memorialize an event, a memory, a life experience, a person; at its best, jewelry adorns the soul as well as the body. I am incredibly grateful that so many people, many women and some men, some I have known already and many more who have become friends after finding my work, have chosen my jewelry to adorn their souls.  For my clients, these moments of adornment range from remembering the love of a father who has died to celebrating the birth of a baby who now rules the house, with all of the life events (down to feeling as glamorous as a rock star when grocery shopping!) that fall between, and I can never fully express in words the humility and gratitude I feel to have been and continue to be some small, silent but still vibrant part of each of those moments.
